$5000 bursary on offer for the Social Enterprise World Forum in Ethiopia
Posted 19 July 2019
Are you passionate about social enterprise in health? Would you like to meet and share ideas with like-minded people from around the world?
A $5000 bursary is on offer to support one South Australian social enterprise leader or future leader to attend the upcoming Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in October. We’ve joined the Wyatt Trust and the English Family Foundation to offer the bursary, which is specifically for health-related social entrepreneurs.
The SEWF is the leading forum for international exchange and collaboration in social entrepreneurship and social investment. It is the main platform for learning, sharing of good practice, ideas and creating partnerships for the social enterprise sector. The lucky bursary recipient will have the opportunity to explore local traditional and fresh perspectives as the forum achieves an historic milestone – it is the first time the SEWF will be held in an emerging market economy.
To be eligible, social entrepreneurs must have a focus on health outcomes (see WHO definition). Applicants must also have been a resident in SA for 5 years or more and not have the financial means to attend the SEWF privately.
