Lisa Toole

Communication and storytelling specialist

Lisa is passionate about communications and uncovering the stories that will motivate people to take action to improve the society we live in.

Her diverse career includes working as a country newspaper journalist, subeditor, media liaison officer and in range of communications roles. In recent years she has helped to sell Adelaide as an international study destination with StudyAdelaide, bridge the communications gaps between Department of Education staff, teachers and parents, and promote the South Australia’s natural highlights with the Department for Environment and Water.

Lisa is excited to have the opportunity to share the outcomes of the Fay Fuller Foundation’s funding partnerships through strategic communications and storytelling. She believes that sharing these stories will help spread the word about the innovative social and health research being undertaken in South Australia. This will lead to more collaborations and partnerships and show the broader community what is possible.

Lisa believes that philanthropy has an amazing opportunity to think big and create significant change as it is not tied to election cycles or short-term vision boards.
When she’s not communicating the foundation’s work she volunteers for an organisation that assists pets and their people through crisis situations.
