Our Legacy grants are proactive partnerships.

There is no application process for these grants.

The grants have two branches:

  • To provide annual donations to a selection of South Australian health-related charities that have previously had a relationship with the Foundation
  • To partner with organisations that are advocating for policy changes that will have positive health outcomes for South Australians. This often involves joining collective efforts at a national level.

Recent and current funding in the policy area has included:

Marriage equality campaign

The LBGTIQ community has some of the poorest mental health outcomes in South Australia and beyond. This community has long been the target of discrimination and was particularly vulnerable during the debate about marriage equality. The foundation supported the campaign to change this law with funds directed towards helping South Australians.

Raise the rate campaign

Living below the poverty line can adversely impact all aspects of a person’s health. For this reason we have joined various organisations and foundations in support of the Australian Council of Social Service’s Raise the Rate campaign. This campaign is about advocating for the Federal Government to raise the rate of Newstart by $75 per week. This amount would allow people to afford basic necessities and greater dignity.
