First Nations Led Health Funding

Your idea could change the way we approach First Nations Health Funding

Definition & Approach

We are working alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) across South Australia to engage community in determining a funding model where First Nations people make the decisions over how philanthropic funding into health and wellbeing across our state is spent.

Developing a community-led model

Everyone should be able to live safe, healthy lives with good wellbeing, but historic and current policies and injustices have led to inequitable health and wellbeing outcomes for First Nations people and communities. What would a community informed, designed and led model for philanthropic funding look like and how could it contribute to better health and wellbeing?

"It's not about empowering our community, it's about powering up our community".
